Community-Centered Infrastructure

Infrastructure is not just about shelter or space. It’s about dignity, belonging, and cultural identity. In Rochester, I explored how 3D-printed concrete homes could resist the displacement pressures of gentrification by creating affordable, accessible options for older residents. In the International Plaza, I worked with a Latin community to design a gazebo that was both functional and culturally resonant. These projects taught me that community-centered infrastructure is less about imposing solutions and more about co-creating spaces that reflect the values and needs of the people who live there
