Climate Adaptation and Global Engagement
Climate change does not respect borders, and neither can our approach to infrastructure. Through Engineers Without Borders-USA, I worked on precipitation modeling to guide climate-resilient projects in multiple countries, while at INES Ingenieros I studied how rail systems and heritage sites could withstand flooding and environmental stress. These projects underscored that adaptation is not just about technical fixes. It’s important to protect histories, preserve communities, and design with the awareness that our choices reverberate across generations. Infrastructure in this context becomes a form of care: for place, for memory, and for the futures we hope to safeguard.
